TRANSFERS Waasland-Beveren had been granted a delay until 24 March to lift the purchase option of 750,000 euros on Davy Roef. The club was also prepared to pay that amount, but Roef himself thanked for the offer they made to him, which was said to be too little.

The club is also mentioned in the "Clean Hands" file, which made the goal keeper less inclined to extend his stay. A return to his mother club RSC Anderlecht seems unlikely. He is still under contract until 2020. Roef prefers to play for a sub-top team in Belgium or abroad..
