"Under my reign Mbokani was again an Anderlecht player"

INTERVIEWS Dieumerci Mbokani is currently out with an injury at Antwerp. Last summer the Congolese wanted to come back to RSC Anderlecht, but Anderlecht thanked. Michaël Verschueren admits that if he had already been the sporting director, Mbokani would be playing in the Anderlecht shirt.


But it was Hein Vanhaezebrouck at the time who saw no benefit in the arrival of Mbokani. Even though Verschueren hadn't bothered about it: "Considering how much talent he still has, I wouldn't even have argued about it. If I had already been the sporting director, Mbokani would have signed with us", says Verschueren.

Small fact: the Congolese is the end of contract with Antwerp this summer.
