Suarez makes debut with national team

OTHER The career of Matias Suarez is going up again. In fact, the striker is selected for the Argentinian national team for the first time. The former striker of Anderlecht has to report for the friendly games against Venezuela and Morocco later this month.


2.5 years ago, Suarez left Anderlecht through the back door. At Belgrano the former Golden Shoe relaunched his career and in January he made a top transfer to River Plate, winner of the Copa Libertadores. At the Argentine superpower he started strongly with three goals in six games.

The Argentinian national coach Lionel Scaloni has seen this as well. And so Suarez can report to the national team for the first time at the age of 30.

Lucas Biglia, that other former Anderlecht-Argentinian decided after the World Cup to stop at the national team. His counter stopped at 58 international matches.
