Iranian striker in the picture

OTHER Het Nieuwsblad writes that Anderlecht think of Serdar Azmoun as a new striker. The 24-year-old Iranian is a fixture with the Russian Rubin Kazan. However, he is not a frequent scorer.


Just 18 years old, Azmoun exchanged his homeland for Rubin Kazan. He did not succeed immediately and so he went to Rostov two years later. That's where it worked out for him. In 2.5 seasons, he scored 19 times in 62 league matches. It earned him a return to Kazan. Last season he floated between bench and starting eleven and scored five times. This season he is a fixed value and his counter is on four goals.

Azmoun is also international for Iran. In 43 international games, he scored 27 times. Azmoun is currently active at the Asia Cup. There he scored four times in five games.
