Arnesen: "New trainer is priority number 1"

INTERVIEWS Frank Arnesen already had a conversation with Marc Coucke and Michael Verschueren. Not with Luc Devroe yet. He also has to get to know the players, which is an introductory round for next week's training camp. But the first real priority for Arnesen is to attract a new coach.


The duo Verschueren-Arnesen analyzes several candidatures for the vacancy of RSC Anderlecht's coach. The sports director received about ninety different applications: "We selected the trainers who are interesting for us."

There are Belgian trainers among them: "The new trainer must be dynamic, he must work with the youth, promote Anderlecht's football style and communicate well with the players and the outside world. We are working hard on this, we want this theme as quickly as possible. to resolve."

"We hope to be able to introduce someone as soon as possible", says Verschueren.
