OTHER Cardiff City has made a bid of 5 million euros for striker Ivan Santini of Anderlecht. That writes the British newspaper Daily Mail. Cardiff is currently seventeenth in the Premier League and its strikers barely find the way to the goal.

Defender Callum Paterson is currently top scorer of the Welsh club with four goals. The five strikers in the selection scored together only three times this season: David Hoilett made two, Daniël Ward one. Cardiff is therefore looking for a goal scorer. The Argentinian Emiliano Sala of Nantes is the first choice, but he aims higher than a relegation candidate. This is how Cardiff now comes to Santini.

Anderlecht paid 3 million euros for Santini in July. The striker started the season fantastic with seven goals in the first three league matches. In the four months that followed, he scored only four times. The Croatian, however, can not leave his mark sufficiently and must tolerate Landry Dimata in front of him in the hierarchy of strikers.
