Cocu remains main target, van der Weerden as assistant?

OTHER Michael Verschueren is still busy with his search for a trainer for RSC Anderlecht. Philip Cocu still remains the main target number 1. But in addition to the high wage demands, Cocu also wants to include his own assistants, including Chris van der Weerder, son-in-law of Frank Arnesen, the new sports director at purple-white.


The 46-year-old van der Weerden is an ex-defender of PSV, Twente and Germinal Beerschot. He was also scout for Manchester City. Cocu and van der Weerden know each other from PSV and Fenerbahçe where they already worked together. If van der Weerden actually comes to purple-white together with Cocu, the future of Karim Belhocine looks very uncertain.
