Zetterberg: "Dismissal Vanhaezebrouck is regrettable"

INTERVIEWS From 1 January 2019, Pär Zetterberg will part of the RSC Anderlecht sporting staff. The Swede would have liked to work with Hein Vanhaezebrouck. He reiterates that it is not his ambition to become T1: "I do not want to take the place of  the successors of Vanhaezebrouck ."


"Before I got back officially, I talked to Vanhaezebrouck for almost three hours, and we discussed everything in his desk, and concluded that we had the same ideas about offensive football and who to fit the youth into the A-core," says Zetterberg. .

When he was appointed, Zetterberg announced that he had no ambitions to become a head coach of purple and white. The dismissal of Vanhaezebrouck did not change those plans.
"I have a contract of indefinite duration, but I will never take over, Vanhaezebrouck's successors may know that I do not want to take their place. I would have loved to work with him, the first contacts were good and there was mutual respect. "
