Preview: Anderlecht - Charleroi

GAMES Can Anderlecht benefit from the points loss of Racing Genk and Club Brugge? Or does Charleroi approach and the edge of Play-Off 1 comes dangerously closer? It may be clear: purple-white is doing well tonight to keep the three points at home.
 


After the nil points out of six in the past two weeks and the draw of STVV yesterday, Anderlecht has gone down to fifth place. A defeat against Charleroi means that Anderlecht would only have three points more than the number seven in the stand. Winning is therefore a must.

Hein Vanhaezebrouck saw many injured people return to training in the past few days, but it remains to be seen who has recovered enough to play. Evgen Makarenko is certainly not present. He is out on a yellow suspension day.

Charleroi misses defenders Martos and Willems. Present are the former Anderlecht players Massimo Bruno, David Henen and Christophe Diandy. Furthermore, it is looking out for the seasonings makers Cristian Benavente and Victor Oshimen. Benavente currently enjoys Anderlecht's interest. Anderlecht wanted Oshimen three years ago after the World Championships for U17, but the Nigerian then opted for Wolfsburg.
