OTHER Anderlecht are in the supreme state of vigilance for the visit of Fenerbahçe tonight. When the Turkish club came to play in the Constant Vanden Stock stadium in 2007, this led to riots. Anderlecht now want to avoid that.

In 2007, Fenerbahçe won 0-2 against Anderlecht in the preliminaries of the Champions League. A lot of Turkish supporters were among the Anderlecht fans and afterwards there were riots at various locations in the stadium. Anderlecht now wants to keep the two supporter groups separate and took various measures for this.

Those who wanted to buy a ticket for a Anderlecht block had to have attended an Anderlecht game in the past three years. Only one entrance card was granted per identity card. The ticket offices are not open today.

Fenerbahçe received 1,250 tickets. Turkish Belgians had to buy their tickets through recognized Fenerbahçe supporters clubs in Belgium or neighboring countries.

In the stadium, some Anderlecht supporters have been given a different place for tonight. For example, the Fenerbahçe fans are together and there is a clear separation between the two supporters' clans.

Fenerbahçe fans must use a combination scheme to go to the stadium. They have to collect at a few places in the area and from there they are taken to the game with buses and afterwards back to the car parks. It is the first time that such a regulation is in force for a European game of Anderlecht.
