TRANSFERS According to Het Laatste Nieuws, defender Nicolas Isimat-Mirin from PSV was offered to Anderlecht at the end of the transfer period. The 26-year-old Frenchman, a basic pawn with the Dutch national champion, cost barely two million euros. Marc Coucke and Luc Devroe, however, had no interest.

The Anderlecht scouts were immediately won to attract Isimat-Mirin, especially for that prize. Devroe, however, did not want to deviate from his main target Bubacarr Sanneh. That transfer finally happened only on the final day of the transfer period and after paying eight million euros. A price that Midtjylland asked Sanneh weeks before. The long negotiations have therefore not led to a lower price.

Sanneh is a human wall, but his passes do not immediately look great. The question therefore arises whether those eight million euros could not be spent better. To Lazar Markovic for example. Anderlecht offered him a gross salary of 2.2 million euros, but the Serbian wanted more because he knew that Trebel earned 3 million euros gross.

And not only the money could have been spent better, also time. Devroe himself stated that he no longer had time to get offensive reinforcements because he must first complete the defensive transfers.
