Azevedo finds shelter at Standard

TRANSFERS Nelson Azevedo has found a new club. The striker, who did not get a new contract at Anderlecht, signed an agreement with Standard yesterday. He announced that himself via Twitter.


Azevedo was actually allowed to leave Anderlecht last year, but then he did not find a new club. At the end of January Hein Vanhaezebrouck made him start surprisingly in the home game against KV Mechelen. After one half he was already replaced and afterwards we did not see him in action anymore.
