YOUTH A few weeks after Killian Sardella, Hein Vanhaezebrouck once again offered a promising U18 to test with the first team. Loïc Masscho, a 16-year-old defender, was allowed to play a quarter of an hour in the friendly game against OH Leuven. Who is Masscho? We introduce him to you.

Masscho is one of the eleven young players who signed a first professional contract with Anderlecht in May. Masscho was born in Ghent on 2 October 2001 and started playing football at the small FC Sint-Martens-Latem. AA Gent picked him up quickly and in 2014 he moved to Anderlecht to play at the U15.

Small and strong and blessed with good technique, it is initially due to its polyvalence that Masscho impresses. He already had a good cross, which moved him from the center to the wing. At the U16 he found his place as a wing defender and in that capacity he became an international. He usually plays in the back right, but sometimes also on the left.

In his first three years at Anderlecht, Masscho became champions. Since the U15, he is also a fixture among national youth teams. During the past European Championships for U17 in May, he was a fixture on the left back. This season Masscho awaits a nice challenge with the UEFA Youth League, in which he made his debut against Celtic a year ago as a 15-year-old.
