Sentence: Vranjes suspended against Club Brugge

OTHER The Disputes Committee has not approved the request from Anderlecht lawyer Luk Deleu to deal with the file of Ognjen Vranjes after the weekend. It just made a statement today and suspended Vranjes for three games. The Bosnian thus misses the game against Club Brugge.


Since this season we have been working with a disciplinary table with guidelines for penalties for specific violations. Standard questioned the validity of this table two weeks ago. As a result, there is still no judgment in the suspension cases of Mehdi Carcela and Club Brugge player Wesley. For this reason Anderlecht also asked for postponement.
 
The Disputes Committee did not answered this question positively. It gave Vranjes a suspension of three games and a fine of 3,000 euros. Only when later this week Standard gets right and the disciplinary table turns out to be invalid, Vranjes has a chance to play on Sunday.
