OTHER For two of the four Anderlecht players, the World Cup in Russia is over. Kara Mbodj and Senegal are not in the eighth finals because they collected more yellow cards than Japan. Lukasz Teodorczyk and Poland were already eliminated before the final match day.

Kara stayed on the bench with Senegal. The Anderlecht defender leaves the World Cup without having played one minute. Senegal lost 0-1 to Colombia and, together with Japan, finished second in Group H with four points. The goal difference and number of goals scored is also the same. Yellow cards are decisive and Senegal does worse. Exit Senegal.

For Poland nothing was at stake in the final game, but they won 1-0 against Japan. Teodorczyk was allowed to come in after 79 minutes.

Dendoncker and Thelin go through

Two Anderlecht players are still in the tournament: Leander Dendoncker and Isaac Kiese Thelin. Dendoncker played the entire game with Belgium against England yesterday. He did not play a bad game, but he had to watch out sometimes. Dendoncker also took a yellow card. On Monday, in the eighth final against Japan, he will be on the bench again.

Thelin was allowed to play three times during the group stage, all together 35 minutes. He takes on Switzerland on Tuesday with Sweden.
