Vancamp: "I want to play and that was not possible at Anderlecht"

TRANSFERS - INTERVIEWS Beerschot Wilrijk officially announced the arrival of Jorn Vancamp this morning. The Anderlecht striker signed for the team of the first division B for four seasons. "I have been a fan of Beerschot all my life and as a child it was my dream to play at the Kiel."


Anderlecht sent Vancamp on loan to Roda JC last season. This was not really a success and so Anderlecht communicated that he could leave on loan again. It has become a permanent transfer now. Despite interest from the Netherlands and the Pro League, he chose 1B. "For me this is an important moment in my career. I want to play now and Anderlecht can not give me that certainty", says Vancamp on the website of his new club. "I still have the ambition to push through to the absolute top."

With Beerschot Wilrijk, Vancamp chooses for his childhood love. "I live nearby, in Hoboken, I've been a supporter for all my life and never hid it, and if I could, I always came to see games here. Do I was present at the promotion games against Cercle Brugge, and I want to break through Beerschot and promote to the first division."
