OTHER Today there is only one game on the program with a clear Belgian link. At Serbia, three former Anderlecht players will face Costa Rica at 2 pm.

Uros Spajic left Anderlecht this month. Aleksandar Mitrovic was close to a return to purple-white in January. Luka Milivojevic wasn't very successful at Anderlecht, but did have a strong season at Crystal Palace.

Opponent Costa Rica was the last sparring partner of the Red Devils. Three players play with the Central Americans have a Belgian link: Bryan Ruiz and Randall Azofeifa (both ex-AA Gent) and Oscar Duarte (former Club Brugge).

In Germany - Mexico (5 pm) and Brazil - Switzerland (8 pm) a link with Belgium is less evident. Anderlecht tried in 2011 to hire the Mexican Carlos Vela from Arsenal. A lot more known is the story that the Brazilian left back Marcelo was once offered at purple-white.
