Anderlecht offers low transfer fee for Sels

TRANSFERS For the time being, Anderlecht will not succeed in finding an agreement with Newcastle about a final transfer of Matz Sels. Het Nieuwsblad learned from English sources that the problem lies in Anderlecht's very low bid. Purple & White would only want to pay two million euros for Sels.


Newcastle paid six million euros for Sels two years ago and wants to recover a big part of this amount. It hoped in case of a World Cup selection to get a nice transfer price. Now that Sels was the fourth goalkeeper at the Red Devils, Anderlecht does not want to raise his bid of two million euros, that's how it sounds. If no one makes an effort, we will not see Sels in the Astridpark again.
