TRANSFERS Anderlecht have attracted a new goalkeeper with Thomas Didillon. Het Nieuwsblad spoke to his former coach at Seraing and ex-teammate Gregory Dufer. Both are convinced that Anderlecht has bought a good goalkeeper, but he points out that he still has to grow.

Arnauld Mercier was the coach of Seraing when Didillon gained experience there at the age of 18. "He has a lot of potential", says Mercier, who praises Didillon for his shape and reflexes on the line. "He does have working points. With us it was coming out on high balls, but he is eager to learn."

Dufer also believes in the potential of the new Anderlecht goalkeeper. "In the long run, Anderlecht will be fine with him, but I am saying on the long term. He will have to adapt to a top club, while there is more pressure at Anderlecht than at Seraing or Metz", says Dufer. Didillon is not lacking in personality. "He is an impressive figure and even as a 18 year old he dared to open his mouth at Seraing to coach the defense."

Anderlecht did not yet communicate about the duration of the contract that Didillon signed, but according to Het Laatste Nieuws it is a commitment for five seasons.
