Angry Onyekuru doubts about his future at Anderlecht

OTHER Henry Onyekuru is very disappointed that he is not part of the Nigerian preselection of thirty players for the World Cup. That he was not on the bench on Sunday and was not allowed to come in, is one of the causes. The striker therefore doubts whether he wants to play for Anderlecht next season.


Hein Vanhaezebrouck judged that Onyekuru is still afraid to go full in the duels and he put the Nigerian in the stands on Sunday against Gent. Onyekuru, however, considered himself ready to at least fall in and show the Nigerian national coach that he is ready for the World Cup.

That he was deprived of this chance, is hard for him. Anderlecht have an agreement with Everton to get Onyekuru on loan for another season and it is now time to decide. He already had doubts because tactically he does not always get along with Vanhaezebrouck and now he doubts more. In his eyes, Vanhaezebrouck deprived him of his World Cup opportunities by not giving him any minutes of play on Sunday.
