"Team 80 percent ready by mid-June"

TRANSFERS - INTERVIEWS Marc Coucke and Luc Devroe were delighted to announce the arrival of Elias Cobbaut. "Our project is clearly starting to work", Coucke says strongly. The new board is ambitious: "At least 80% of this core must be put together in mid-June in order to be able to start the new season in the best possible way", that's how it sounds.


"That one of the biggest Belgian talents consciously chooses for Anderlecht is very good news for our fans", says chairman Coucke. "I wish Elias all the success at RSCA and we will offer him all the necessary support to succeed here."

Sports manager Luc Devroe underlines that Cobbaut is a player who Hein Vanhaezebrouck wanted. "Both Vanhaezebrouck and myself were very impressed by what he showed at KV Mechelen", says Devroe. "He fits perfectly into the profile of players that we have in mind. Just like Abazaj and Makarenko, he can offer immediately added value for our team for next season."

We can still expect transfers in the coming weeks. The new board wants to have its core ready for next season very quickly. "At least 80 percent of the core has to be put together in mid-June to be able to start the new season", that's how it sounds. "This has to be the right mix of talent and experience, of Belgian and international players, and of stayers and newcomers."
