Three million euros for Van Crombrugge

TRANSFERS If Anderlecht wants to take over Hendrik Van Crombrugge from Eupen, it will have to spend some money. The goalkeeper told Het Nieuwsblad that Eupen might ask three million euros. That is the amount that Ajax wanted to pay last summer.


"There is still no agreement with Anderlecht," Van Crombrugge told after the game with Eupen on Saturday. In the recent past, the goalkeeper made it clear that he only wanted to go to a club where he could become a key player. At Anderlecht he will have to fight for his place "I have no problem with competition, it's normal for a top club and makes you better."

In the meantime, Eupen coach Claude Makelele has announced that the club wants to let Van Crombrugge go to e bigger club. "Hendrik is one of the best goalkeepers in Belgium, we will not stop him, he has done a lot of important rescues for us and is ready for a step higher."
