Faes achieves a smooth victory with Belgian U21

YOUTH The Belgian U21 won against Hungary 3-0 and put a step towards next year's European Championships. Wout Faes played the whole game, Aaron Leya Iseka stayed on the bench.


After ten minutes, Hungary received a red card. Siebe Schrijvers opened the score a few minutes later. Shortly after the hour, former Anderlecht player Dodi Lukebakio secured the victory. Twenty minutes before time, Landry Dimata set the final score from the penalty spot.

As a result of this victory Belgium leads in group 17 with 21 points. Sweden and Hungary count six points less, but Sweden has played two games less than the Belgians and Hungary one. The group winner goes straight to the European Championship, the number two plays barrage games. In the autumn, Belgium still has to visit Sweden and Hungary.
