OTHER The Pro League has also reached an agreement regarding loan players who may or may not play against their mother club. RSC Anderlecht never made a problem of this. Club Brugge had a clause in the leases that did not allow their loaned players to play against their mother club. The Pro League is now creating clarity.

Only if the loan club takes over the full salary, the relevant player may play against his mother's club, otherwise not. 20 of the 24 clubs voted for the new rule that has been inspired by the Premier League and meets FIFA requirements.

In the case of Isaac Kiese Thelin, for example, he will not be allowed to play against RSC Anderlecht. After all, Purple & White pays a part of the Swede's salary.

The rule will also mean that the loan clubs will be more likely to take over the full pay of the player.
