GAMES There was no video referee on Saturday during the game between Standard and KV Mechelen, thanks to Anderlecht. The videoref was indicated for Zulte Waregem - Anderlecht and purple-white did not want to give it away. This for fear of complaints from other clubs.

At the beginning of the season it was agreed that each club could count on the presence of the video referee for six times: three times at home and three times away. In view of the exciting relegation struggle between KV Mechelen and Eupen, it was suggested to use the video referee on the games of both clubs on Saturday. At Antwerp - Eupen it was in any case provided, at Standard - KV Mechelen not.

The video referee was programmed for the game between Zulte Waregem and Anderlecht. Both clubs were asked whether would agree to give up the video referee, but Anderlecht did not respond to this. Anderlecht did not want to break the balance and feared complaints from other clubs. There was a lot at stake this weekend for many clubs.
