"Consulted the 'players council'"

INTERVIEWS Matz Sels said in an interview that he was not really aware of why Olivier Deschacht had been referred to the Reserves. Hein Vanhaezebrouck contradicted this. "All players were informed of what was going on", according to the coach.


"We have consulted eight players, the most important and the anciens, a sort of 'players' council', but Matz Sels was not a part of it. But that same players council has explained to the other players what was going on and what was going to happen ", explains Vanhaezebrouck.

The coach did not want to say much more about the whole situation: "I said last time that I do not want to talk about it anymore, and we said from the beginning that referring Deschacht to the Reserves was indefinite period of time. We'll see what the future will bring, if there is news we will communicate it in due time ", says Vanhaezebrouck.
