Thomas Foket from Ghent to Anderlecht?

TRANSFERS Anderlecht is considering an attempt to buy Thomas Foket during the winter march from Ghent, although that will not be easy.


Although Foket is fully fit again after his heart operation, he does not often play at Ghent because Vanderhaeghe uses a system in which the right flank player does not fit optimally. Under Vanhaezebrouck, Foket was a fixed value at Gent and Anderlecht has insufficient quality on the right flank in the absence of Andy Najar.

It is very questionable whether a transferis realistic. AA Gent is certainly not keen on it and Thomas Foket has a very good relationship with the fans because they supported him hard in the difficult period he went through. On the other hand, Foket wants to play more to get a World Cup selection and his contract expires in 2019.
