Anderlecht defeated Charleroi on monday. It was a hard game, but Aleksandar Mitrovic saved Anderlecht, by scoring his fifteenth goal of the season. Earlier today, Club Bruges defeated Sandard.

Anderlecht started the match with a lot of ball possession. It quickly resulted in a few chances, but the ball didn't want to go in. Slowly, Charleroi's defensive organisation became better and the home had more and more difficulties creating chances. The visitors were also dangerous on the counter attack.

during half time, coach Hasi replaced a disappointing Conté for Acheampong. The Ghanese player brought more speed into the match and that resulted in a goal. Praet launched Acheampong on the left wing, he rushed past his defender, centered and Mitrovic was able to slide the ball against the net: 1-0. From then on, Anderlecht left the ball more to Charleroi and tried to counter attack. This strategy was not entirely successful though. The counter attacks were not good enough and the Mauves relied too much on their defence. A few minutes before the end, Kebano missed the equaliser.

That way, Anderlecht started with a victory. The Mauves remain third, on two points of leader Bruges. AA Ghent is second with a better goal difference but with the same amount of points.
