Vermaelen doesn't say no

TRANSFERS Anderlecht is looking for a defender and has put Thomas Vermaelen on his wishlist. Anderlecht has informed about him and Vermaelen didn't directly say no. "But there are lots of other teams that want him.", says Herman Van Holsbeeck.


"Vermaelen needs time to play, because of the upcoming World Cup. So it is an interesting dossier. But we are not the only team that is following him."

Anderlecht has the advantage that it is directly qualified for the UEFA Champions League. But it will have to find an agreement with Barcelona concerning his wage.
