Standard beat Anderlecht: 0-2

Anderlecht got beaten by Standard last weekend. The Mauves played a bad game and also Standard was not really impressive. Teixeira and Mpoku scored in the last ten minutes of the match: 0-2.


The game was overall boring. Anderlecht, with Kabasele, played slow and did not create chances. Also Standard was not interested in taking control over the match. The scoreline at half time was 0-0.

The second half was not better, even though Conté was brought into play. Standard slowly but surely started to believe in three points and managed to score twice in the last ten minutes via Teixeira and Mpoku. Anderlecht lost their first match of the season: 0-2.
