Anderlecht and Genk divided the points this weekend. For the first time since the start of the new season, Anderlecht lost points at home. In a rather boring game, the scoreline remained 0-0.

Anderlecht dominated the entire match and created several chances, but scoring remains a problem. The last pass was not good enough and striker Mitrovic remained invisible. The Mauves were the most dangerous with efforts from distance. That changes in the second half though, when Kabasele and Acheampong came into the team. Both players brought more speed and threatened the visiting defence.

When Acheampong was brought down in the box, Anderlecht got a penalty. Tielemans and Kabasele discussed about who should take the penalty. Eventually Kabasele claimed the ball, but the post stopped him from scoring. That way, the match ended in a scoreless draw.
