Yesterday, Anderlecht suffered their first Champions League defeat of this campaign. Dortmund played at a higher pace, with better and more precise ball circulation. The Germans were also more efficient, resulting in a 0-3.

After three minutes Dortmund already opened the score. Immobile defeated Proto after he had been sent through Anderlecht's defence. During the first 15 minutes, the Belgian champions especially had problems with the high and precise ball circulation. Dortmund created more chances, but was caught offside for a few times and also Proto managed to keep the damage limited. With some luck, the Mauves scored the equaliser even, but the linesman had - incorrectly - seen offside. Praet also had an excellent chance to equalise when he appeared alone in front of the keeper, but his effort was not precise enough and Weidenfeller saved.

At the start of the second half, the home team launched an offensive. Anderlecht monopolised the ball and played more aggressive leading to more duels won. The pressure did not lead to serious chances though. Mitrovic had the best opportunity but he reacted too slow. On a counter attack, Dortmund proved to be more efficient. An excellent cross pass led to an even better center and Ramos doubled the German lead. Mitrovic could have revived Anderlecht, but his effort struck the post. Ramos later on dribbled through Anderlecht's defence and scored his second of the evening: 0-3. Second before the end, Cyriac could have scored for the Brussels' team but he also missed the target.
