"Praise from Kompany makes me proud"

INTERVIEWS Friday, Belgium plays a qualification game for the World Cup against Estonia. Tielemans hopes to be in the starting eleven, although he realizes that the competition on the midfield is tough. Vincent Kompany had some positive things to say about Tielemans. 


"He has more talent than I had on that age." said Kompany. "Hearing something like that from Kompany, makes me proud." Tielemans admits. "I can not do anything more than my best and make a good impression. Because getting in the starting eleven will not be easy. Especially not against Estonia, with this talented team. The coach makes choices, and I will accept that."

AS Monaco

Tielemans also came back on his transfer to Monaco. He thinks the timing was very important. "I wanted to come to the national team without the concerns of a transfer on my mind. So I'm very glad. Monaco already showed interest last year. My goal is to get in the starting eleven as soon as possible and they believe in me."
