Anderlecht is standing on one single point of a new title! The Mauves beat Zulte Waregem with 1-2, while Bruges lost in Genk (3-2). Standard won and the Rouches take the second place.

Anderlecht played a fantastic first half. Najar missed an open chance in the first minutes. Mitrovic scored a few minutes later but the linesman had seen offside (incorrect decision). Anderlecht finally got what they deserved when Kouyaté lifted the ball over the Zulte Waregem defenders into the goal. That same Kouyaté should have doubled the lead, but in front of an open goal he put the ball too high. On a counter attack Mitrovic opened for Bruno who outplayed goalkeeper Bossu and scored the 0-2. Zulte Waregem did not create any single serious chance in the first 45 minutes.

The second half was totally different. Zulte Waregem had made two replacements and now suddenly dominated. Anderlecht could not keep the ball in the team anymore and had to defend the lead against repeatin attacks of the home side. When Nuytinck's intervention led to an own-goal, he situation became precarious for the visitors. Yet Zulte Waregem had used a lot of energy and was not able anymore to threaten Anderlecht. That way, the Mauves take the three points home to Brussels.

With one more game to be played, Anderlecht lead with two points more than Standard. Bruges lost and are now three points behind. They cannot take the title anymore based on the number of won games. A draw is good for Anderlecht, since they have more won matches that Standard as well.
