GAMES RSC Anderlecht beat Zulte Waregem today with 4-2. Due to the defeat of Club Bruges against Lokeren, the Mauves are now co-leader. Zulte Waregem are five points behind on the third place.

The match started badly for Anderlecht when Mbaye Leye was given too much space and scored with a low shot into the lower left corner: 0-1 after just two minutes of play. The visitors had control over the game, but after 10 minutes Anderlecht restored the balance under impulse of Hanni. That same Hanni would equalise after 22 minutes when he perfectly controlled a high centre and scored: 1-1. Bruno, Chipciu and Tielemans had excellent chances to score another goal, but the fans had to wait until a few minutes before half time to cheer again: Hanni's perfect centre reached Bruno who scored: 2-1, a deserved lead.

At the beginning of the second half, the match rapidly seemed over when Tielemans cut through the heart of the visiting defence and scored Anderlecht's third goal. But a penalty for Zulte Waregem eight minutes later made the game exciting again. Both teams had chances, with the best ones for Anderlecht. Especially Teodorzcyk should have scored, but he was stopped by keeper Bossut. In the very last minute, Chipciu finally decided the match with a volley: 4-2.
