Roef (RSCA) and Ruben (Deportivo) swap clubs

TRANSFERS Strange transfer news from Anderlecht today: goalkeeper Davy Roef will leave for Deportivo la Coruña while goalkeeper Ruben makes the oppposite move. The Mauves were still looking for a new first goalkeeper to replace Boeckx, who has been performing strongly however.

Ruben has a lot of experience with several Spanish first division clubs. Right now, he's only third goalkeeper in Deportivo, which makes the transfer even stranger. Roef on the other hand started as first goalie but was replaced by Boeckx after a series of blunders. Whether he'll get the chance to play in Spain, is very doubtful. Both keepers will make the move based on a loan for six months.

Roef is currently in Spain for medical tests. This means the incoming transfer of Ruben will soon be announced as well.
