Matias Suarez tells Het Laatste Nieuws he physically isn't feeling outstanding. He is experiencing one of his worse periods since he moved to Anderlecht in 2008.
It still moves him, knowing the fans still support Suarez. But unfortunately, his popularity also has a downside. Because the fans expects him to shine and perform well all the time. "People look at me more now, especially now when Mbokani and Jovanice left Anderlecht", says the Argentinian player who can't fulfill the high expectations at this moment.
He thinks his lacking ball control - and apparently some speed - is one of the reasons of his worse period. He had a better feeling during the play-offs of last season. Then he went on holiday, which caused he lost some of his rhythm. But he is convinced he will get back to his old high level soon.
Suarez is especially looking forward to playing in the Champions League. It will be his first time, because he couldn't play in the Champions League last season due to an injury.
