Anderlecht youngest team in Champions League

Anderlecht will start the Champions League in September with the youngest team of all 22 teams who already are qualified. That's what the website "nr10.be" calculated. The average age of Anderlecht is only 22.40 years.


Ajax ends in second place with 23.30 years and Porto ends in third place with an average of 24.70 years.

It's not the first time, because Anderlecht already had the youngest team (out of 48 teams in the group phase) in the Europa League in 2009. The average age of Anderlecht was 23.15 years. Romelu Lukaku was the youngest player (16 years and 176 days) of the tournament.
