Efficient Anderlecht also beat Charleroi

GAMES An efficient Anderlecht beat Charleroi with 0-2 and ended the year on the second place in the ranking due to the draw of Zulte Waregem. The Mauves are now just two points behind leader Bruges. 

Anderlecht had to do without Kara in the defense. He was suspended and coach Weiler put Spajic on his place. The rest of the team remained unchanged, with Stanciu on the bench just like last week.

There wasn't much to see in the first half. Charleroi dominated most of the first 45 minutes and had a few good opportunities to open the score. Anderlecht on the other hand lurked on the counter attack. The 0-0 score at half time was more than logical. 

The second half brought more of the same, until 15 minutes before the end: on a good counter attack, Hanni found Teodorzcyk who eliminated two defenders and scored: 0-1. Not much later, Acheampong decided the match. Teodorzcyk found the Ghanese winger who shot the ball hard and high into the goal: 0-2 final score.
