Reynaldo flourishes in Azerbaijan

Unnoticed, Reynaldo moved to Qarabag in Azerbaijan in January. He qualified with this team for the last qualifying round of the Europa League. His goals were very important.


Qarabag is playing well in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League. In the first two rounds, Qarabag eliminated Metalurg Skopje (FYR Macedonia) and Piast Gliwice (Poland) and yesterday they eliminated the Swedish team Gefle.

After they won the first leg with 1-0, Qarabag won 0-2 yesterday in Sweden. Reynaldo scored the only goal in the first leg and the second goal yesterday. The former player of Anderlecht also scored in the first legs against Metalurg (0-1) and Piast Gliwice (2-1).

Reynaldo only played the first league match of last season. Anderlecht sold the player in January 2013 to Qarabag. After six months, he started in eight league matches and substituted another player one time. He scored two goals.
