Kouyaté: "I am not interested in Russia"

Kouyaté reacted on the transfer rumours: "I aim higher than the Russian league", he said. Earlier Dynamo Kiev from the Ukraine showed interest in the defender. But his statement is clear: he is not interested in Eastern Europe.


Yet a transfer to England will be hard since several restrictions that are in place for non-EU citizens. Foreigners need a certain amount of selections for their national team before they can play in England. And Kouyaté doesn't have the necessary amount yet. Therefore he applied for a Belgian passport, which he will get but not in time for a summer transfer...
