TRANSFERS With just a few days left in the summer transfer window, Anderlecht still need to find several players: at least one midfielder, one or two defenders and a striker. A few players are also on the verge of leaving.

A new midfielder is the most urgent after the departure of Steven Defour and Dennis Praet. There are two options for the Mauves: Markus Henriksen of AZ Alkmaar or Nicolae Stanciu of Steaua Bucharest. Henriksen is currently in England though, where he'll probably sign for Hull City. Stanciu was Anderlecht's first choice anyway, but is expensive: his current club would like to see 10 million for the player. A delegation is currently in Bucharest to negotiate.

A new defender has probably already been found. Jakub Brabec of Sparta Prague already said goodbye to his team mates and fans after Thursday's Europa League match. His coach confirmed he's negotiating with Anderlecht. Nicolas Lombaerts won't come to Brussels (for now). Anderlecht has made a final attempt to land the player, but their offer was refused by his club Zenit St. Petersburg.

Looking at the offensive compartiment, two strikers are about to leave. The first one is Stefano Okaka who had a conflict with trainer Weiler and was sent to the B-team. He could go to England where Aston Villa and Norwich are interested. He might even be swapped for another player (from Aston Villa or Norwich?). Syllacould count on interest of Wolverhampton, but the English came back on their steps. Another option may be Atalanta from Italy that offered three million for the player. Anderlecht would like to see more money for the striker but may accept after all to allow the return of Massimo Bruno to Anderlecht. Bruno used to play for the Mauves a few years ago before joining Salzburg. He's currently playing for Leipzig though.

Meanwhile, also Trezeguethas asked to be loaned to another club after he realised his chances to make it to the starting line-up are rather small. Charleroi could be an option for him. Contéseemed to be on his way to Mouscron, but he prefers a club outside Belgium.
