Milan Jovanovic was sent off in the first half of RSCA-Standard after pushing Opare. The Standard defender had repeatedly frustrated the striker with intimidating and physical play. Jovanovic reacted and got red.

Trainer and team mates were furious after the game: "This is not the smartest thing to do", it sounded. "By taking red like this, he let the team down. That is something that won't be forgotten lightly", said Van den Brom.

Though Jovanovic realises all this and apologised. Odoi: "He apologised and said to accept a suspension. He knows he let the team down. It was a silly thing to do, be he remains our team mate."

The player had to explain his actions today before Anderlecht's direction board. It's unclear whether he'll receive additional punishment for his actions. The Belgian Football Organisation already demanded a three matchday ban. The club does not agree and went into appeal.
