Angry fans clash with the police

After the game against Standard, riots broke out in the streets around the stadium. A few hunderds of Anderlecht fans tried to reach their Standard colleagues, but the police prevented them from doing so.


The hooligans attacked the officers with everything they could find: stones, chairs, glasses, tables, etc... Eventually four police officers were wounded and twelve hooligans were arrested. The riots ended when the water canon was used to repulse the fans.
