Anderlecht has completed a deal with the young player Roland Lamah (16 years). The big promise trained with the first team yesterday, and left a good impression.

He will be added to the squad of young promises of Franky Vercauteren. "But as for all the other promises in Anderlecht, he has a good chance to become a first team player", explaines the assistant-coach. He also denies that there won't be a young promise the the first team the next two years. "There are some players who are ready to play for the first team, but I won't say any names."

Lamah will sign tomorrow. "We want to know for sure that he is the player that we are looking for. He will have to do the medical tests, but also some extra tests", says Vercauteren. Lamah plays for the -17 national team of France, but he has Ivorian origin. Is this a new Vanden Borre or Kompany? "No", says Vercauteren. "We don't find a talent like Kompany or Vanden Borre that often. There's isn't a 16-year old player with that kind of talent every year."

Lamah is an offensive left midfielder. "He isn't very fast, nor explosive, and I still haven't found out yet what his best position is. But he is big, uses his legs good and has good muscles. We were also interested last season, but a transfer wasn't appropriate then. He left a good impression during his first training."
