Alain Courtois became councillor for the city of Brussels and is eager to help out Anderlecht with their stadium enlargement plans. Courtois used to be a member of Anderlecht's direction board.

Courtois has a fresh and healthy opinion about this case: "The club Anderlecht is an enrichment for the city of Brussels. That fact has not been recognised enough in the past. The city should be happy to host the football games of this club."

"Further, it would be a good idea to have one large football stadium in Brussels that can be used by Anderlecht and the national team. 50.000 seats would be a nice capacity."

"We have to take quick decisions. The current Heysel area might be converted to a residence area, but it's also ideal to develop a new stadium project."
