Average players are being paid too much

General manager Herman Van Holsbeeck answered some of the fans' questions earlier this week. He was asked if the high salaries for Anderlecht players can be justified.


"It's normal that the best players are well paid. It's true though, that in the past we've overpaid some of our mediocre players. That will change in the future."

Another question was why the incoming money from big transfers has not been spent on new and better players for the team. "If you don't play the Champions League every season, sometimes you have to make some adjustments to your budget. When I look at what our competition in Belgium need to invest to keep up with our level, I think we're doing pretty good."
