Gillet scores in Belgium - Croatia

Belgium - Croatia ended on a 1-1 tie. It was Guillaume Gillet who managed to equalize in the 46th minute, after Croatia had taken the lead after just 6 minutes.


It was Gillet's first goal for his national team, and an important one it was. "My first goal as a Red Devil, it's something special", he admits.

"We scored at the right time, right before half time. Second half we were clearly better than Croatia, but we didn't score. I've been feeling more and more confident in my new position on the field. I'm starting to feel more like a right back than right wing player."

Gillet won't be playing the next game in the qualification campaign. He got his second yellow card yesterday and is suspended for the game against Serbia.
