Vercauteren does not say no to Anderlecht

OTHER Frank Vercauteren is one of the possible candidates to take over Besnik Hasi's position as coach of Anderlecht and apparently the former Anderlecht player and coach would not say no to a return to the Astridpark.

Vercauteren is currently coach at Russian side Samara. Nine years ago, he was coach at Anderlecht but he left as he could not deal with the pressure anymore. "If they are thinking about me, I would take that as an honor", Vercauteren reacted this time. "I haven't heard anything; but nothing is impossible."

Frank Vercauteren's contract expires at the end of May. There is a clause in his contract to extend his position at Samara with one more year, but in that case both Samara as Vercauteren need to agree.
