After yesterday's game some unsporting behaviour was noticed in the locker rooms. Six visiting players assaulted the Anderlecht staff and players. Former team representative Pierre Leroy was injured at the head.

One of the Limassol players threw a metal can on Leroy's head. He got lightly injured and received medical attention. The police had to intervene to calm the players. On Limassol side they claim they were provoked by the home side. It is unclear whether there will be consequences to these incidents.

Further, the direction board of the Cyprus club refused to congratulate Anderlecht with the qualification: "They kept on playing while our players were injured on the field", one of the staff members stated.

By the end of the game, this indeed happened. But it has be said that the visiting players were falling down, 'injured', every few minutes. One of them even got a yellow card for staying down too long and faking injury. On top of that, Limassol tried gaining time, leading to 8 minutes of stoppage time (first and second half combined) and more yellow cards...
